In today’s post, our guest blogger shares to us 5 Best Ways To Stay Motivated When Feeling Lost. Here are some suggestions to get you started.

But before that, as a First Time Mom, I thought of sharing with you some Self-Affirmations to help you stay motivated.

Read below some tips to keep your motivation going as shared with us by our Guest Blogger, Chan from Azuro Republic. Here it is.

Have you lost motivation to do anything, or just simply wanting to give up at certain moments?

Are you feeling low in energy to get out of bed for a few days? Not because you are sick, but due to you keep on asking yourself: “What am I working for?”

You look at the kitchen sink and don’t remember when was the last time you washed the dishes. You know that you should take out the trash, but you don’t have the motivation to throw the trash.

Lack of motivation is undoubtedly a bad thing, especially in your livelihood and health. When there is a lack of motivation, you won’t be able to achieve your goals.

Do you want to lose weight but turns out to be a couch potato? That is a lack of motivation.

Do you have a DIY project that could finish in a week but you are unable to finish it? Maybe you lack motivation!

Are you interested in learning foreign languages, but you keep postponing it? You lack motivation!

There are multiple ways to overcome lack of motivation and get things back on track. Let’s see what actions you can take to stay motivated:

1. Focus on the positive side

Start small and work towards achieving a bigger goal. Don’t overwhelm yourself with too much at the same time.

It’s important not to focus on the difficulty or dread of having to “tolerate” harsh situations, which will only add unneeded pressure on yourself.

Take small steps to work towards your goal, train yourself to look away from the unpleasantness and difficulty of these tasks, and focus your attention on the little things that you look forward to.

“Do not” forget to reward yourself every successful step of the way. Go get that men beaded bracelet, you deserve it!

2. Do not ever underestimate your capability

Many people said: “I have no motivation to do anything because I can’t do anything right.”

Sometimes all you need is a little push, and you will solve things you never thought of.

Such low self-esteem is a major motivation killer. There is no such person as someone who cannot do ANYTHING.

Motivate yourself to take the first step. Don’t doubt yourself can do it? Just do it!

For example, you may be questioning whether you can lose weight. Stop! Go put on comfortable shoes and clothes, open the door and get started.

Go for a walk for at least 30 minutes and before returning home.

Do not touch “bad” food that puts you in worth position.

Tomorrow at the same time; put on clothes and shoes and drag yourself out. After at least 2 weeks with no expectation, just exercise for 30 minutes every day enjoying the music.

If you weigh yourself and find that you have lost weight, you will gain confidence and motivation to keep doing it.

Regaining some confidence in your own ability will help you build some momentum into actually completing a task.

3. Imagine your result

Taking the weight loss example above, when you walk and exercise for about a month, start imagining how your body will look after six months if you remain working out consistently.

Imagine those clothes you want in the store so bad but you couldn’t fit in now after six months this may not be an issue anymore. When you start imagining the result, you will get motivated to keep going!

You have to understand that try as you may, you simply can’t do everything on your own!

Sometimes, you need that external support to get moving. Don’t be shy, go get it! Family and friends can be just the motivation we need when we hit that bottomless pit of lack of motivation.
