How To Live an Empowered Life With 3 Simple Mindset Hacks

Have you ever asked yourself how others live an empowered life and what mindset hacks do they practice?

You probably have dreamed of having the best life with freedom and prosperity but you don’t know how to make that happen for you.

We’ve all heard it before that our mind determines our future. But what are we actually doing each day to get our mindset in the right place?

What mindset hacks did we set ourselves for success?

Now let’s dive in! It’s another month of our MomStar of the Month feature and in today’s post, we have Rosey Hwang, a mompreneur and a transformational coach for women to live the life that they have longed for.

I am so glad to have connected with her after having a random chat in one of the events in Calgary. We met in a Fundraising Gala in the beginning of this year with R.E.A.L. Biz Moms, a community devoted to recognizing and empowering mamas to be their authentic selves and to feel loved.

From then on, I have connected with like-minded women entrepreneurs in my own local community.

Founded by a REAL Mom who wanted a strong community to grow and dream with, REAL Biz Moms is a safe, supportive, and empowering community for moms to be themselves and to grow in life and business together.

What is MomStar of the Month all about?

MomStar of the Month shares inspirational stories of women, no matter what background, ethnicity or race; has a great career or not, is a first-time mom or not, it doesn’t matter. 

Any Mom is a star in her own ways and with these stories, we share the journey of moms who aim to inspire others and transform lives with a purpose.

We highlight different women in our society, with their spirit to motivate others. A unique opportunity for all of us to hear and understand how these Moms learned how to flourish and balance their lives in today’s overwhelming world.

1. Tell us about yourself (ex: Family, Children, Profession/ Background, what do you do, etc)

Hi Lovelies! I am a mama of two little girls (aged 6 and 4), a transformational coach, and an inspirational writer and speaker dedicated to empowering women to embrace their full potential.

I am married to the love of my life, Michael, who has also been my biggest fan and has encouraged me always to go for my dreams, and be the best I can be. We’ll be celebrating 11 years of marriage this year.

I’ve been working in communications and public relations for more than a decade, but after having my second daughter, I could no longer ignore the deep longing in my heart to follow my dream of being a writer.

I started a blog in November of 2018, and since then, my writing has been featured in many online publications including Scary Mommy and Medium. 

As I started listening to my heart and transformed my life, my passion became empowering women to live their most joyful, inspired life.

Since then, I became a transformational coach, and I feel so incredibly blessed to support women as they bring their dreams to life.

2. What keeps you busy at the moment? How do you make yourself productive throughout the day?

I use morning and evening rituals to centre myself and start the day mindfully. These rituals allow me to zone in on what matters most to me.

I start the day with meditation, journaling, and exercise – that way, I know that I have filled my cup and I have so much more to give to those around me.

I also spend time working on my most important tasks before my girls wake up, so I can be present with them during the day.

Each day, I write inspirational articles, support my clients as they build their dreams, read self-help books, and be the most mindful mama I can be. Oh, and of course, enjoy a cup of #yyccoffee.

3. How did you start your business and what motivated you to help others as an online coach?

After becoming a mom, I was drowning in fears, doubts and mom guilt. I felt that I should be able to do it all, and the fact that I couldn’t was the result of my own inadequacy.

I dug deep, got uncomfortable, and started questioning everything I was told to believe.

Through this process, I broke free from the limiting beliefs that were holding me back. My motivation was fueled by my desire to be the best role model I could be for my daughters. I knew the best way to encourage them to go for their dreams, was to build the confidence to do it myself first! 

Now, I help women discover how to drop a lifetime of “shoulds” and build a life on their terms through transformational coaching that specializes in mindset, confidence, and time and energy mastery.

I’m here to help you shatter the belief that nothing you do is ever good enough, to help you say, “Sayonara” to the fears and doubts that keep you playing small, and to help you follow your heart and do what you love.

4. How do you organize and streamline your schedule as a wife, a business owner, and a mom?

I have a weekly planning ritual that I use to make sure my schedule is aligned with my most important priorities – my family, my well-being and empowering my clients. 

I prioritize 3-5 things that absolutely need to get done and put these prioritized tasks in my schedule along with the time and place I’ll work on them to make sure I follow through.

I also have a weekly check-in ritual to evaluate what’s working, and what isn’t to build momentum. 

Pro tip: Build in more time than you think you need for tasks, especially when you know it will be a busy week.

5. What do you think is the most rewarding part of motherhood?

Learning from my little ones is absolutely the most rewarding part of motherhood.

I truly believe our children our greatest teachers. They have so much wisdom and each day show us what matters most in life including how to:

  • Enjoy laughter, cuddles and simple moments each day
  • See beauty everywhere
  • Be joyful and find happiness in spending time together
  • Speak up for what we need 
  • Forgive easily and often
  • Love unconditionally
  • Be grateful for what have and to live fully in the present

6. Leave us a message to all Moms who struggle in finding strategies and mindset hacks to increase productivity.

  1. Make yourself a priority first

Each week, think about what you need to do to keep yourself happy, healthy and productive. This may include exercise, meditation, a date night, coffee with a friend, and/or spending time in nature.

Schedule this in before anything else. Making yourself a priority will give you the energy you need to tackle your important goals. 

  1. Ask for help

Remind yourself that the people in your life want to help, ask for what you need directly, so you feel supported, and they feel valued. Also, you don’t have to struggle alone, if you need support, reach out.

Don’t be afraid to expand your tribe and look for support outside of your inner circle too. 

  1. Anticipate obstacles in advance and come up with an action plan

So much of the time, we’re so busy moving from one thing to the next that we can get caught off guard when unexpected things are thrown our way. Anticipate what you think may cause a disruption to your plans and think of strategies in advance.

This will help you navigate challenges with ease and get back to a place of calm quicker.
